Description

This is an older piece based on a photo I liked. I appreciated the sincerity with which the girl wears her hat and gloves, a confidence in absurdity that we lose as we grow up. 

You can see in my earlier work that I didn’t quite have 3-dimensionality with skin tones. The more form and correct tonality there is in the skin of the portraits you see, the more recent the piece is.
