What kinds of brands do you work with?
I work with individual founders and service-based companies with a strong why. I build brand architecture for companies that already have a marketing team including a data-driven marketer/technical builder, and a creative or designer. All the companies I work with have revenue coming in and clear offers, though sometimes we’ll rename the offers or simplify the customer journey for better retention.
What is StoryBrand? What is your method for brand direction?
As a StoryBrand Guide for 8 years, I used the hero’s journey as a 7-step template to tell the brand story about the customer. The customer is the hero, the brand is the guide, and the guide helps the hero solve a problem in a specific way to earn their trust and create transformation. I dropped the StoryBrand Certification in February 2026 to focus on my own method, which specifically includes AI training and maintaining a human relationship with customers even as AI is integrated into marketing. That Unslop Method is all about making the customer journey relational and consistent, and integrates StoryBrand principles.
Do you take art commissions? What sizes and materials do you use?
I do take commissions on paintings, pastels, charcoal drawings, and occasionally on murals. My standard sizes are 18"x24" for pastel and charcoal pieces on paper and 30x40" for acrylic paintings on wood panel canvas. I can do custom sizes. I tend to work the best on commissions with an anchor idea, symbol, or person, though I don’t promise exact portraits.
Do you do public speaking, workshops, or podcasts?
I love speaking and hosting workshops. I have several talks on hand on the following topics: How to unslop your brand; How to throw events to forward your brand or career; How to position yourself as an expert and write your offer script; How to move through insecurity to express yourself more fully (this talk is usually presented with 3 paintings as visual cues).
